Before Quip, Pat did a short stint at Google working on search. Prior to that, he worked on software to automatically discover drugs in silico at biotech startups Numerate, Inc. and Pharmix, Corp. He spends his free time drinking Hop Stoopid and napping.
Matt was most recently the Chief Revenue Officer at Mixpanel. Prior to that, Matt led sales at New Relic, helping to grow them from $0 to $100 million in ARR. Matt spent almost seven years helping build a sales organization at Citrix Online focused on direct sales of software as a service (SaaS) offerings that include GotoMeeting, GotoMyPC and GotoAssist. Matt holds a BA in Business Administration from the University of San Diego.
Mihai enjoys being an engineer on tools that he uses every day. Prior to Quip, Mihai was at Google, where he worked on Google Reader, WebKit, and Chrome. Mihai is an amateur plane spotter, and if requested can bore you with details about winglets, sharklets and chevrons.
Nate comes to Quip from Google App Engine, where he worked with world-famous explorers and superheroes. He studied Computer Science and Economics at Georgetown University, and previously worked on distributed systems at Isilon Systems and Clustrix.
Teddy is putting his career as a banjo picker on hold to help drive partnerships and business development at Quip. Teddy comes directly from Instagram where as Head of Marketing Partnerships he focused on building the company's ads business. Before that, he spent over 7 years at Facebook building partnerships with major retailers and gaming companies and handling the crazy legal issues of a startup as a lawyer. Teddy is a Stanford University undergrad alum and received his law degree from University of California, Hastings.
Edmond's the author of the book, The Effective Engineer. He was an early engineer at Quora, where he built out the onboarding and mentoring programs and led engineering on user growth. Before Quora, Edmond led the analytics and monetization team at Ooyala and worked on search quality at Google.
Shannon is a Business Operations Manager at Quip. Prior to Quip, Shannon worked for PwC's Financial Services Consulting practice in Chicago. Shannon loves playing tennis, running, exploring SF, travelling internationally, and spending endless hours looking at pictures of dogs.
Nate Botwick spends most of his time staying up to date on the hottest SoLoMo trends while riding his DJI Quadcopter Drone (with GoPro mount). Prior to Quip, he ran Business Analysis at GREE and studied various other things.
Yunjie codes for food and whiskey. Prior to Quip, she developed intricate worlds filled with zoo animals, dragons, zombies, and sorority girls. Yunjie has a BS and MEng from MIT, and has worked previously at Pocket Gems, MITRE, Qualcomm, Microsoft, and Morgan Stanley.
Ross is the Office Needs Special Operations Leader at Quip. Three of his top 27 abilities include folding napkins into a bird of paradise, choosing the winning lane in traffic, and creating stop motion LEGO videos. (Previous: Taylor Engineering and CSU Chico)
Julie comes to Quip by way of Dropbox, Facebook and Google. She has an MS and BS in Computer Science from Stanford. In her free time, Julie enjoys reading, playing board games and video games, and experimenting in the kitchen (and eating the results!).
Sophia joins Quip after completing her BS and MS in Computer Science at Stanford. She's interned at Khan Academy teaching kids to code online, and at Palantir and Google. Sophia likes to pet dogs and find fruit on sale, but dislikes wasabi.
Dave works on the business team at Quip. Prior to that, he spent time at Facebook, Halfbrick, GREE, and OpenFeint, working on games you may have played if you own a smartphone. Most notably, Dave hasn't lost to his father in ping-pong in over 15 years.
Before Quip, Belinda spent time at Google, Quora, and Microsoft. She has an MS and BS in Computer Science from Stanford. In her free time, Belinda enjoys hugging animals, playing board games, and trying new macaron flavors.
Before joining Quip marketing, Zand led User Acquisition at GREE, helped build Ubisoft digital marketing, as well as working in a few online agencies. His one wish is to see the day his Golden State Warriors bring home the championship.
Sam comes to Quip by way of Dropbox, where he helped grow the sales org from 5 to 150 people. He studied Environmental Science at Bates College and previously worked at Salesforce.com. When he's not building sales teams, you can find Sam playing basketball or fly fishing in the Sierras.
Robert works on the business team to convert people to the revolution that is Quip. He also dabbles in lawyering. He uses sports as an ice-breaker in almost every conversation, and roots for the Michigan Wolverines. Robert comes to Quip via Gibson Dunn, RPX, and Gigya. He has a BA from Yale and JD from Berkeley.
For years, Logan's office was the mountains. During summer he worked as a mountaineering guide on Rainier and Denali, during winter he ski patrolled. Recently, his office has been… an office. Before Quip, Logan worked with a productivity company and an ad tech startup. Logan surfs, climbs, and competes in triathlons... and normally doesn’t refer to himself in the third person.
Proud Texan, idea-girl, and foodie, Cristina joins Quip's Business Team after six years at Google, where she grew their Google Apps and DoubleClick businesses to new heights. When she's not transforming businesses, you can find her making new friends at local hot-spots or perfecting her famous queso!
Before joining Quip, Brina was the first female engineer at Instagram and previously worked at Facebook, Google, and Yahoo!. She graduated with an undergrad degree in Communications and masters in Computer Science from UC San Diego. You will occasionally see her favorite furry friend, Miles the Doodle, at work with her.
Christine is a part of our sales family. Prior to Quip, she traveled with Team USA as a 2008 silver medalist in swimming and then sold specialized consulting services to the Fortune 500. Now that she has escaped Chicago winters, she loves discovering new Bay Area hiking trails, drinking fair trade coffee, and having dry hair.
Kevin collaborates with Quip's sales and ops teams to engineer tools for customer assessment & success. As an avid hiker and skier, he loves exploring northern California's natural beauty. Free-time hobbies include: reading, climbing, watching pro real-time strategy games (okay... video games), chess, and brewing beer. He has a BA in philosophy and a MS in computer science from Stanford.

Kristin joins Quip’s Business Team by way of Salesforce, where she helped healthcare companies adopt innovative technologies with the purpose of improving patient lives. She may be found tumbling down black diamonds as she learns to ski, however her preferred method of transportation is skipping. She’s easily distracted by puppies.
Wade joins the Quip business team from Dropbox, where he worked on the sales and user operations teams. Outside of work, he enjoys bodysurfing, fishing, and playing H.O.R.S.E. Growing up Wade wanted to be a cowboy but instead went to Tufts University, graduating with a BA in Economics.
Derek joined Quip after strategic partnership roles at LeadiD, Wasserman, and LeadDog. He is an avid adventurer and photographer, and doesn't miss East Coast winters (but still invests too much emotion in Philly sports). He has a BS in Marketing from UPenn (Wharton).
Rafael is a marketer at Quip. He’s worked at some startups you may have heard of including New Relic where he was VP of Online & Brand. Unanimously voted “The World’s Best Dad” by his three sons in 2013, Rafael enjoys spending time cooking Spanish food and boring you to death talking about soccer... seriously, don’t ask him.
Diana is a product manager at Quip. She’s also a big fan of reading, writing, and spreadsheeting. Before Quip, she worked in product management and strategy at SoundCloud, Kickstarter, and Microsoft PowerPoint.
Yang comes to Quip from Coursera, where he worked on the online learning experience, monetization and growth. Prior to that, he graduated in Electrical Engineering and Computer Science at Duke and previously interned at Google and Klout. He also has an identical twin who currently works in China.
Before Quip, Shrey was an engineer at Quora, where he worked on the editor, developer tools and growth. In his spare time, Shrey enjoys British humor, trivia and chai.
Michael thinks about and engineers operational reliability at Quip (as he has been fortunate enough to do at Google (App Engine, Gmail), Stripe, and elsewhere), and tries to expect the unexpected. Interests include bicycles, Lion from Steven Universe, design, reading all of the Internet until you reach the end, and talking to people and making them laugh. Awarded the coveted title of ’Most Disruptive Quip Employee’ by Salesforce Red Team during The 2017 Operation. In his defense, he forgot.
Garrett is a marketer at Quip. He spent the last 5 years helping to build New Relic’s marketing. An avid music lover, mostly of the underground variety, and all around nerd. Some might call him ‘Intimidating by Default’ but those who know him, know its only partially true.
Elliot works on the business team at Quip. Prior to that, he spent time helping to build sales and operations teams at Google Apps for Work and Switch Communications. As a San Francisco native, Elliot invests an unhealthy amount of time following the Giants, Stanford football and Jim Harbaugh.
Alex is part of the Quip business team. She’s the youngest of 6 girls, a UCSD grad and a hot sauce addict. Her favorite activities include reading, dancing (not well), sampling tequilas with her husband and making friends with funny people. Prior to joining the Quip business team Alex worked at a small SaaS company called Salesforce where she helped emerging companies grow.
Ryan is a product marketer at Quip. He started a San Francisco-based brewery tour company and spent 5 years helping grow Atlassian Confluence. He obsessively rides his bikes and stretches out on a yoga mat. He’s unhealthily invested in the Golden State Warriors, his pet cat, and super burritos.
Sara joins the Quip operations team from First Round Capital, where she managed event operations and the office. She has a BS in Economics from Duke (avoid her during March Madness), lived in Buenos Aires, Argentina for a semester, and loves mint chocolate chip milkshakes. Originally from “safe” Philadelphia, at all moments she is wondering what would happen if there was an earthquake RIGHT NOW.
Doug is part of our business team helping companies work less dumb. A baker with a start-up problem, Doug has most recently come to us from New Relic's team after a successful 5 year stay. He loves exploring SF for new music, food and fun with his wife and 3 year old daughter.

Pedram joins Quip after completing his BS at MIT and MS at Stanford. After numerous attempts, he’s won the New Yorker weekly cartoon caption contest once.
Namrata joins Quip all the way from Illinois after completing her BS and MS in Computer Science at UIUC. She has previously interned at Enova and Peel. She enjoys cooking, hiking, Netflix and adores animals.
Before Quip, Alon worked as both an engineer and manager at Dropbox and on Google App Engine. He has a BS and MS in Computer Science from UC Santa Barbara. His hobbies include traveling, cooking, eating, and small-dachshund wrangling.
Before joining Quip, Rajeev worked as an engineer at Dropbox and Google. He has a BS and MS in Electrical Engineering and Computer Science from MIT. He's a fan of basketball (and other sports), music, puzzles, bad puns, and quips.
Adam is part of Quip's sales team supporting the Enterprise Business. Adam joined Quip from Mixpanel and New Relic prior to that, where he helped scale their enterprise business models. Outside of work, he enjoys everything outdoors, especially with his wife and two children, ages 4 and 7.

Matt is a Bay Area native with a passion for all things SaaS. He joins the Quip Business Team to help teams and organizations work less dumb. Before joining Quip, Matt spent 4 years in multiple sales roles at New Relic. Before his tech career began at EMC, Matt was an aspiring PGA Teaching Professional and avid golfer. When he is not helping companies change the way they work, you can find him golfing or fly fishing throughout Northern California with family and friends.
Eugene joins Quip after finishing a BS in Mathematics from MIT. He is a former intern at Jane Street Capital, Quora, Five Rings Capital, and Addepar.
Robert comes to Quip with a MS in Statistics from Stanford to work on data science and analytics projects. Prior to joining Quip, Robert worked in mobile gaming and real money gambling, spending his days (and nights) thinking about how much people are worth.
Juli only works for companies with blue logos, as evidenced by her previous stints at Dropbox and Atlassian. At Quip she heads up content, spending her days planning, writing, and tinkering so Quip sounds and looks fantastic. She spends her spare time on books, yoga, wine, photography, dogs, and making huge messes in the kitchen.
Hira joins Quip after finishing her degree at UCLA. After being born and raised in LA, Hira most notably spent a winter in Minnesota where she learned the true definition of cold and found her passion for hockey, particularly the Minnesota Wild. Despite now knowing true cold, she is perpetually cold in San Francisco. You can probably find her shivering with a cup of tea.
Andrew joins Quip as a High Touch Customer Success Manager, passionate to help customers grow through collaboration and productivity. To this Aussie, collaboration comes in many forms, often over a beer, in the surf, or on the mountain.
Andy joins Quip's sales team to grow our mid-market partnerships. He has a B.S. in Marketing and began his career as a corporate wine buyer. From there, he joined Mixpanel where he was part of the SMB and Enterprise sales teams. He grew up in Alaska and is passionate about snowboarding, golf, restaurant hunting and technology.
Brett's life as a climbing bum was cut short to come join Quip, where he's a software engineer. In the (few) hours when he's not working or climbing, he enjoys swing dancing and contributing to open-source Haskell projects. Brett studied logic at Stanford, where he was the captain of the ping-pong team!
Andy is a product designer from Vancouver, British Columbia. Prior to Quip, Andy worked both with design studio Unity, and independently on a drawing application called Pattern. Before that Andy was at Facebook where he lead the design of Reactions, and worked on products such as News Feed and Photos.
Daniel joins Quip from Dropbox, where he was an engineer on a variety of large-scale data systems. He holds a BS in Computer Science from Stanford, where he was a leader in the peer counseling center. Daniel enjoys eating great vegetarian food and seeing weird theatre.
Drew joins Quip after co-founding the design studio Unity, which Quip acquired in early 2017. Prior to that, Drew was a Product Designer and Product Design Manager at Facebook. Drew has a BFA in Visual Communication Design from University of Washington and is an avid Huskies fan.
Falk joins the Quip product team by way of Salesforce, where he led the Marketing Cloud Platform organization. In his past lives he was a developer, architect, CTO, and founder at companies including Microsoft Research, Intershop, Responsys, Exacttarget and others. He has a MS in Computer Science and Mathematics from NYU. His super powers are drinking lots of coffee, eating often, and sleeping on command. On weekends you can find him cycling the San Francisco North Bay or running the trails of Marin.
Heather is apart of the Quip sales team, focused on supporting the mid-market segment in the Greater New York Area. Early on she found her passion for selling great software at New Relic and most recently helped build out the sales process for the open source container project, Docker. When she's not hard at work, you can find her walking the beach with her Cavalier King Charles puppy, exploring the city on her Vespa, cooking, golfing, or plotting out the best SCUBA dive spots for the next vacation!
Marina is a Business Operations Manager at Quip. She moved to the Bay Area from Boston where she spent 3 years at a software-focused investment banking and consulting firm. Marina wishes she had a long list of hobbies, but Mario Kart consumes 99.99% of her free time.
Huy comes to Quip from Dropbox where he worked on the desktop client, file sharing and growth. Prior to that, he worked on search ranking at Google, and Exadata at Oracle. He enjoys playing soccer, following Manchester United, watching movies, and spending time with his wife and two little monsters.
Joey joins Quip after the design studio he co-founded, Unity, was acquired in early 2017. His previous work experience includes several years as a product designer at Facebook and 11 days as a page at the Kennewick Public Library.

Lenore is the Director of Enterprise Sales at Quip. Most recently Lenore was at Mixpanel where she ran the Enterprise Sales Team, prior to that she held sales positions at New Relic and Hightail. When not in the office you can find Lenore exploring wine country and San Francisco restaurants.
Lindsey is a a software engineer at Quip and brings his passion for product user experience to tools you can live and work in. He's fascinated by mycology, writes music with the band Commoner, and plays competitive table tennis for fun. Prior to Quip, Lindsey worked at Google (App Engine, Translate, Surveys, Web Performance), Shift Technologies and Twist.

Max joins Quip's Enterprise sales team from Citrix Online (SaaS) where he led strategic vertical sales and product development teams. He loves consultative relationships with clients, uncovering new business opportunities and fostering innovative solutions. Max holds a BA in Economics from UC Santa Barbara and an MBA from the W.P. Carey School of Business. Since 2010, Max has traveled to Haiti annually with a surgical team, managing logistics and post-op care.
Mookie is a member of Quip's sales team, focused on supporting our enterprise clients. A graduate of Loyola Marymount University in Los Angeles, Mookie has worked as a Sales Director at several AdTech firms, including Yahoo! & Mediamath. Mookie currently resides in the East Bay with his wife and two daughters, and he spends any free time he can find watching his favorite teams: Notre Dame Football & the Sacramento Kings (and, of course, Mickey Mouse Clubhouse).
Patrick works on the customer success team at Quip. After graduating from Fordham in NYC, he moved to San Francisco to hone his customer service and management skills at La Boulange Bakery and Equator Coffees. Having grown up in Boston, he thinks about Dunkin Donuts almost every day.

Stephanie is a Success Manager at Quip, focused on making sure people are happier and more productive using Quip. In past lives, she's worked at companies like GitHub and Marketo. As a good Bay Area native, she loves the outdoors, foodie things, and has a soft spot for the hippies of the sixties.
Prior to Quip, Tenzing was a Recruiting Manager at Quora and a Global Lead Recruiter at Spotify. Tenzing has 10+ years of experience in recruiting, specializing in Engineering and Product. In his spare time, Tenzing enjoys reading, playing chess, physical fitness and soy lattes.
Tooba is a office operations and recruiting coordinator at Quip. She is originally from the Bay Area, but moved down to LA for college. After graduating she moved back to the Bay and worked as a HR assistant at a local property management company. When she is not busy going on food adventures in the city, she can be found planning vacations with her friends or watching funny cat videos.
Elizabeth is a Product Marketer at Salesforce/Quip. Recently relocating from Atlanta to San Francisco, she's focused on growing our presence at events, sales enablement and sharing our awesome customer stories.
